Caitlyn Mayer- Executive Director
Caitlyn is currently the Executive Director of Take the Stage Performing Arts Conservatory. She has studied dance for 20 years in the Back Mountain. Caitlyn is also a director/ playwright for the Theater Program. She studied theater, both musical and straight, at the University of Scranton. She holds a certification in Dance Education from the University of Las Vegas Nevada where she studied under world renowned dancers and instructors. She attends workshops and classes in NYC and has performed in an off- Broadway show in New York City under the direction of Kristen Ceasar. She is a playwright who has had her shows performed in numerous venues. She has worked with many choreographers, directors, and vocal coaches to create her teaching style for all aspects of the Performing Arts. She has performed in over 60 theater shows with multiple theater groups and has performed dance in many different states. She holds an ambassador position with the National Dance Foundation for Pennsylvania. As of 2018 Caitlyn spent 60+ hours studying with the Youth Protection Advocates in Dance and is a certified YPAD teacher committed to keeping dancers happy, healthy, and safe in their education. Christina Metz- Theater Education Program Director
Christina founded Take the Stage in February of 2010. She has always had a passion for the Performing Arts and teaching. She has over 30 years of experience in theater and has directed well over 50 shows for multiple theater companies and schools. She is now a volunteer director for the theater department sharing her expertise in character work and blocking.
Amanda Kornak- Artistic Director
Amanda has been a staple at the studio since it's infancy. Having graduated out of the dance program, Amanda continued teaching dance regularly until 2017. Amanda has trained in all styles of dance and teaches tap, jazz, modern, pointe, and ballet. When Amanda is not teaching she is a full time event coordinator. Aside from dance Amanda has trained for multiple years in voice and has performed in 20+ theater shows.
Jordan Wilson- Dance Education Instructor
Jordan has been dancing for roughly 17 years. She has been trained in everything from ballet to tap to jazz to hip hop to ballroom styles to pointe and the list goes on. Jordan was a competition dancer for the past 10 years in both groups and solos in all forms of dance. Jordan specializes in contemporary and jazz/hip hop. She has with multiple dance studios which taught hermultiple styles of teaching to create her form of teaching. Jordan has taught dance for the past 5 years along side of coaching gymnastics as well. Currently Jordan studies nursing at Wilkes University, where she is also a member of the cheerleading squad and the dance team.
Amanda Connell- Dance Education Instructor
Mandy is the currently an advanced level instructor at TTSPAC. She has studied multiple forms of dance and has been teaching for 10+ years. Mandy has trained and taught at many dance studios throughout the area and is known for her love of tap dance. An award winning teacher and choreographer she brings out the best in all her students. Currently Mandy is a full time mom and professor at a local university.
Sarah- Korrin DeBiasi- Dance Education Instructor/ Desk Manager
Sarah-Korrin DeBiasi is from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and attended college at Slippery Rock University. She earned her degree as a BFA Dance major with a concentration in performance and choreography, as well as an Anthropology minor. She has been dancing for seventeen years and plans to further her education and passion for dance in the future.
Sarah-Korrin has performed in and choreographed for many shows, including the Faculty and Guest Artists Concert, Winter Concert, and Senior Synthesis Concert at Slippery Rock University. She has worked with many choreographers and educators, such as Lindsay Fisher, Ursula Payne, Marta Renzi, Jaya Mani, and Alicia Garrity. She plans to attend graduate school, post-graduation, to receive her MFA in choreography. Her dream goal is to start her own professional dance company or teach in higher education at a university."
